The Program Exchange Program is designed to share a variety of activities, programs and events within the Recreation and Parks Profession. Each activity, program or event includes a short general description and a contact person. The contact person will do everything possible to help you get started in the right direction. Most of the activities, programs and events may be modified to fit your specific needs. Nature & Conservation

1. Nature Scavenger Hunt
Description: An activity that can be held at any park and can include all ages participating at once. Participants will enjoy finding and locating a variety of natural items. Finds can include various leaves, rocks and moss, while locators can include woodpecker holes, beaver lodge and squirrel nest. The finds and locators are all most limitless!

2. Project WILD
Description: Educational activities that emphasize wildlife and the environment as a means to understand the responsibility each of us have to all living things and our surroundings. All activities are fun and most require a lot of movement.

Music

1. Outdoor Music Event or Series
Description: No matter who is playing people of all ages love to listen to music outdoors. Although the event takes a lot of planning and maybe some resources, it is worth the effort! Organize a small music event or summer long music series that will guarantee a good time for all.

Holidays

1. Halloween Trick or Treat Trail
Description: A wooded trail, lots of non-scary Halloween decorations, candy and a lot of volunteers are needed for this unique and fun event. Dressed in their scariest or non-scariest outfit, participants walk a trail that has several stations or Halloween theme sites. Each station has volunteers that pass out candy or small prizes. Side activities include; bone toss, pictures with the good and/or bad witch, toddler “trick or treat crawl” area and more!
